The Brief

Refining a Logo for Real-World Use

Scoolgate came with an existing logo and a clear sense of what they stood for, but the brand needed to feel sharper, more usable, and more consistent. The task was to refine the identity without losing its original personality.

The Outcome

Clean, Recognisable, and Ready to Go

We redesigned, redrew and vectorised the original logo from low-resolution images, giving it the clarity and flexibility it needed. From there, we created a cohesive set of digital and print assets including business cards, favicons (webpage tab image), and social icons.

The Process

We started by reviewing the existing logo and understanding what elements needed to stay. It was about keeping the character while solving issues with clarity, scalability, and consistency.

Using Illustrator, we redrew the logo from scratch, vectorising from blurry references and exploring ways to balance the mark with improved spacing and proportion. Colour tweaks and subtle refinements helped modernise the feel without straying too far from the clients vision.

With the logo finalised, we applied it across various use cases: business cards, favicons, and social media icons. Each version was designed to retain legibility and impact, even at small sizes.

The project wrapped with a mini toolkit; logo files, sizing recommendations, and ready-to-use assets for both digital and print. Simple, clear, and easy to implement.
