The Brief
Building a Library of Learning
Redbridge Publishing was created to provide high-quality books for students preparing for the 11 Plus exams, along with consistent booklets for Redbridge Tuition’s weekly lessons and long-term exam preparation. The challenge was scale: to design both the interiors and covers of a complete range of books while producing over 1,500 structured work booklets for each year group, from Year 2 up to GCSE. Every resource needed to be engaging, accessible, and professional, while maintaining consistency across thousands of pages.
The Outcome
A Complete Curriculum in Print
We designed the interiors and covers of seven core books that anchor the Redbridge 11+ programme. Alongside these, more than 1,500 weekly work booklets were created, ensuring students always have structured, high-quality resources for lessons. The designs bring clarity to complex topics, with layouts that balance guidance, worked examples, and practice. The result is a publishing system that grows with students, supporting learning from early primary through to GCSE and giving Redbridge Tuition a distinctive, professional edge.
The Process
We worked closely with the tuition team to understand the full breadth of their curriculum, from 11+ preparation through to GCSE. The goal was to make sure that design served pedagogy, with layouts supporting how teachers and students actually use the materials.
Book covers and interiors were designed to be clear, recognisable and easy to navigate. Templates for weekly work packs were planned so that content could be updated rapidly without losing consistency across different subjects and year groups.
Inside pages were designed to handle a wide variety of content, from creative writing to algebra, comprehension to physics formulae. Each workbooklet included instructions for parents, mark schemes and structured progression. Covers were kept bold and distinctive, helping teachers and students quickly identify the right pack.
Over several years, more than 1500 workbooklets have been delivered, along with seven complete books, multiple exam practice papers, and supporting resources. The system continues to expand, giving Redbridge Tuition a publishing arm that rivals national providers but is tailored exactly to their students’ needs.
